PostHeaderIcon Which is the best gas boiler?

We need to buy a new Gas Boiler but do not know where to look or which is the best.
My OH seems to think that he wants a condensing boiler and not a combi one.

Anyone know anything about them…and where is the cheapest place to buy?
Many thanks

Worcester Bosch are highly rated. Any boiler you buy will be condensing, its just a matter of whether you want combined heat and hot water (ie instantly heated hot water) or stored hot water. Benefits of combi are a dry loft and no hot water tank. Drawbacks are possibly low HW flow (20 mins to fill a bath). Aim big to get a decent HW flow.

What do you mean by "regular"

PostHeaderIcon Wood Pellet Boiler?

Has anyone out there got a wood pellet boiler? Would you recommend it as a domestic heating system for bungalow – radiators and hot water? What make/model?

I looked at a similar question here but it was a year old so thought I'd try again.
Thanks
Is it reliable?

We have a Gerkros Wood Pecker 30 Kw wood pellet boiler.

Had it for over a year.I have an un ending supply of roasting hot water and heat 14radiators off it and a heated towel rail.I highly recommend it.We were lucky to avail of a grant which covered over half of the cost.
Gerkros have a web site.
Indeed a 20 Kw would have done us.We partitioned off part of our garage as a pellet store and seperate boiler house.

Much cheaper having the pellets delivered in bulk. They're blown in to your storage area. There's a contraption specifically made to attach the delivery hose to.This is built in to the wall of the store.Access to this area has to be considered also as the delivery vehicle is large. You will require a hopper which you fill with pellets and they are fed to the boiler from there. You do need to do a bit of homework but it is worth it.
