Have got Worcester Bosch. When it is working it is fine as long as you keep an eye on the water pressure. When it has a problem and call WB out they are expensive. Have done this twice and both time felt that the engineer was working from a pre-learnt check sheet but didn’t really know what he was doing. Second time, he missed a water leak and I had water through the floor. WB came twice more and still didn’t find it. In the end I called a local lad in who found it straight away and fixed it. WB wanted to charge for all of their visits so were told to take a hike. In the end they agreed and dropped all charges.
Try looking at the Which website.

Vokera,i’d give 2/10.We have a maintenance contract with a local council that have been installing this make for the last 4 years. The manufacturer have an engineer in the area full time doing warranty work.
Baxi this year have been voted as the installers choice, and they have made huge improvements on their appliances.
Vaillant is a tough one, their reputation is pretty solid but by my own personal experience is a bit of a mixed bag so i will reserve judgement. Their back up service is good and they offer good guarantees. The optional external/remote controls they offer are also first class.
Worcester are by far the most popular but are also the most expensive, like Vaillant they offer good control packs and an excellent back up service. We have had very little problems with the appliances that we have installed.
Glowworm and Ideal are established manufacturers in the industry and offer all the latest technology’s to meet the current standards.
Alpha in my own opinion offer the best value for money.Their CD range offers a 10 years parts and 5 years labour guarantee. No other manufacturer comes close. When our customers leave the boiler choice to us we will fit Alphas.
Even before they were offering these warranties we were fitting them with very little come back.
Good installation and commissioning are key to reliability,so what ever make you choose make sure the job is done right.
Worcester offer an extended warranty if you use an accredited installer.Alpha can recommend installers in you area on their web site.
