does anyone stock spare parts for a vulcan verona 55d back boiler
Vulcan Verona's are old units. They were good in their day too. The 55d1 and 2 units are almost interchangeable as well as their parts.
I guess the real question is why think, or try it? For the cost of almost any replacement part(s), installation and servicing, you can install a better, far more efficient, unit nowadays. Personally, I'd go with the better, more efficient, unit. You'll save yourself money and trouble(s) down the road.
Can I use a glass bowl as part of a makeshift double-boiler?

This boiler is 20 years past its best, I have been in the gas industry since 1969, these vulcans were the state of the art then. So unless you only need a thermocouple then I think its time for it to go to the scap yard.
