PostHeaderIcon problem with a ‘froststat’ on an oil-fired central heating boiler ?

I have a Trianco Eurostar boiler, and I think the froststat is set too high, as it comes on when its not needed. How is it adjusted?

Sounds like you have your internal thermostat set too high. It monitors the temperature of the water that is circulating in your boiler, you will have to find that and turn it down a little, it’ll be graduated in degrees centigrade.

How do I replace it without getting an air block in the line?

<>When you replace the line hook up the tank end first and allow a little oil to flow out the furnace end before you hook up the line. This will eliminate most of the air. What is left will be of little consequence. Also, there is usually a filter screen at the oil inlet to the furnace and there may be a bleeder valve to siphon off the air.
