Ferroli Domina 80 E Central Heating Boiler Fault?

Our boiler is making a strange buzzing noise when the burners are trying to fire up. It does eventually fire up but only after three or four attempts. It has been doing this for a couple of days now and I’m wondering if it will damage the boiler if I continue to use it. Any ideas what’s going on here folks?

Its either the gas valve or the ignition relay in the circuit board,it wont cause any further damage to the boiler. The faulty component could last for months, but eventually it will pack in.Best to get a corgi registered heating engineer to repair it.

how does one put in an inhibitor into a combi boiler central heating system?

  1. ha ha ha ha.!!! Yeh mine is to. you have to bleed your radiators because theres air in the pipes.

  2. It sounds like a fault on the ignition electrode, the buzzing is the spark generator working overtime trying to establish ignition. Eventually it will not ignite at all, so i suggest you get an engineer to sort it out.

  4. Boards for this boiler are very pricey. Main PCB used to be over £200.00 with VAT. Look at getting company that does fixed price repair if I was you.

  5. Sounds like the boiler ignition is faulty. Probably the spark generator.
