Assuming you live in the UK then you might qualify for a range of central heating grants or rebates. Government grants are available for new boilers and for other items such as cavity wall insulation. The grants you qualify for will depend on your age and what benefits you are receiving.
why does my boiler shut down when i run the shower when the central heating is on?
a grant? I think you will have to pay for it?

Depending where you live, e.g. in Canada if you get an energy efficient boiler which means it has to have the energy star label, means that it conducts 85% or better you can get a rebate on purchase, not the price of the whole thing, but….
Call your local provincial or state information line and ask if there are any grants available for home owners if they are replacing or upgrading their heating systems. a lot of times you have to be below a certain income level and certain items have to be done like an energy audit, first do not go hog wild till you have the letter from whomever in hand…

… As the next answer says quite correctly, Warmfront is a government (taxpayer) sponsored scheme for giving the needy new heating systems and insulation installations on the assumption that it will produce less CO2 emissions, which seems to be all the rage at the moment, and your local Council should be able to give you advice about this as it is they who are paying for the subsidies to the installers who are queueing up to to recieve this money to install it for you. My local council actually `phoned me and recently and asked if I qualified for a grant! They may not give you a new boiler though if the one that you have is in a working condition I have heard. (Worth appealing I should think).

I did not qualify for these grants unfortunately.

Hi there
Have you looked into electric heating?
Our radiators are water filled which means that each one acts as its own central heating system.
You can have them programmed individually per radiator.Or you can use a remote control to control them all in sequence.
Try this website for more information.
