1. Sure – I sold one last week with the c/h boiler in a bedroom – but the new owners are planning to install a new combi boiler which will be in the garege.

   1. Somewhere with good ventilation and next to an exterior wall
   2. Somewhere you can box it in
   3. Where it can be placed without being an obstruction in the room it’s in

3. Why would you ever put a boiler in a bedroom?!?!

   They go in the basement, in a fire proof area such as cinder blocked walls.

5. all these answers can be true. I,ve seen them installed in every room in the house. but letme tell you this. it depends on the local codes of the town you live in. check with your town plunbing codes office to be sure and they will tell you.

6. It is an odd place, for sure but I don’t think it is illegal provided it complies with all the regs. If it was up to me I’d put it out of the way somewhere, maybe in a cupboard, even in the garage if possible. All of them have to be on or near an exterior wall in order for the exhaust and inlet ducts to be vented.

Restrictions on boiler location these days are more about flue termination and the material the boiler will be fitted to.So long as its fitted on to non combustible material then it can go anywhere.Older type boilers with open flues that draw air for combustion from the rooms that they are sited in have more restrictions,modern room sealed boiler can be sited in virtually every room in the house,including bathrooms and bedrooms.
