We have an Electric Boiler for our water (no central heating) which up till recently worked fine.
It has two power settings (wall mounted) an off-peak and an on-peak. The usual idea is that you leave on-peak set to ‘off’ and off-peak set to ‘on’ – so that the water heats up over night when it’s cheap. The on-peak switch can be used as a boost to get more water during the day if needed.
However, it’s now not heating up water overnight. We’ve had the boiler checked and it seems fine – swapping over the power feeds makes the off-peak circuit in the boiler work, so it’s not that. Also the meter is progressing on the ‘night’ dial, showing that we are getting power on the economy 7 circuit (for freezer, etc). порно девчонки дом 2 порно
Any idea what could be causing this? Is it likely to be something between the meter and the boiler?
To Edison – Tried that, they got me to check the ‘night’ reads for 4 days. As the read is progressing they said it’s not a supply/meter problem so nothing they can do.
To hakuna matata – timer switch is fine I think, as we are getting Economy 7 power (hence the reads advancing)
Crazy! It appears that when the boiler people came out to fix it they turned it off at the fuse (unmarked of course!) but didn’t turn it back on there.
Now, I tested it with the fuse on, but it didn’t seem to work – however, this may have been because the bulb showing the off peak circuit as being on has also blown! So with the fuse on it is actually working, it just appears not to be. Time to go to eBay to buy a new bulb me thinks!
Nothing as daft as the "economy 7" circuit to the boiler, fuse blown? Is there a fused spur switch involved somewhere for that circuit as well as the main fuse?

Explain the problems you are experiencing to your supplier?

It seems that the timer switch is faulty. You will have to get it tested.
