It not only saves money but it makes your home more comfortable. I would also suggest you take a look at eliminating any air infiltration sites such as those around windows, door and access spaces to attics or basements.

YES< insulating your home can make a huge difference and cut you energy costs in half....we did this and it saved us a lot of money a year. We have a home built in the year 1900 and it was drafty when we bought it to say the least. Contact a good contractor who can help you decide what to redo.

Massive savings? Not really, but it does help a lot!

We insulated all pipes in the house,
walls
attic
crawl space
changed out windows to double insulated
checked all doors seals
insulated inside electrical outlets.

and yes, the bills have come down about $50.00-$80.00 per month.

Most of this can be done on your own. Windows are easy to do too.
