Hampton Repco Gas Boiler video
This is my 1983 Repco Gas Boiler. I was told it leaked but the guy is non-descript and says he only installs them – not repairs. Anyway – its gas and heats effectively 6 bedrooms. Its in a utility room in a furnished basement 2-BR walkout apartment – which is beneath a 2 story 4 BR Cape (2 bedrooms on top floor – 2 BR on ground floor). I’m looking for repair or replacement. I put a 3-yr old used burner in my home – and it works GREAT. Perhaps do same or if can finance will go new.

Lynx Wood Gasifier Boiler Part 2
The boiler needed to be suspended because of the way the fan mounts. Making the whole unit look like a BB-Q makes it a bit more house friendly. Its also a good way to tidy up all the controls, steam engine, water reservoir into one accessible place. I sure learned that anymore than two pounds of wood is unnecessary. With four pounds and fan on high it looks like a Mig 15 afterburner. Next is the tedious fitting of the tubing, and controls, then more testing, refinements.

1 – Used Chicago Boiler Red Head Sand Mill. Model L-3-J rated at 2 liters. Stainless steel contact parts jacketed chamber. XP motor. Unit was purchased new in 1997 and used only once. Requires the shaft. Serial #97-N-5226-02 or 03. F.O.B. – Cleveland OH.
